Cursor stuck in the middle of the screen?

i am using windows xp with original quickheal antivirus recently my cursor gets stuck here and there.. then i press NUM LOCK and sometimes it moves but sometimes i have to move with keyboard.... but when i restart my pc its all fine.. will it be fixed...

While watching something on the computer the mouse goes dead and the neon goes out . the cursor on the screen is stuck. I cannot click shut down because the cursor won't move. I have to shut off at the mains and start up again for the mouse to work.

i got a new mouse attached it and the cursor is stuck on the screen and is not moving,i put back the old mouse and it still doesnot move what can i do to fix this problem and what did i do wrong

When I try to scroll when my cursor is in the middle of my screen it doesn't work but if i move it to the side it works fine.
