In Yahoo Answers...what does Stars Received mean? How did I get them and how do I see how I received them?
-
Answer:
That is how many people star the questions you ask...See the star directly below your avatar on this question?...Put the arrow from your mouse over the star...The only way to see who starred is to go back to each asked question and put the arrow from your mouse over the star...Then you can see who starred it...

You receive stars from other people if they find your question interesting. You only receive stars for the questions you ask. On your profile page that lists all your statistics, one of them is the number of stars you received.

It means that someone found your question interesting. You get them when someone clicks on the star underneath your question. You can see the # beside of the stars. If you want to see them for past questions, just go to your profile and look down your list of questions. I'll give you one so you can see.

Hello, 1) "Stars Received" means -- the number of stars you got for your questions which are given by the other Yahoo Answers users. When they thought that your question(s) is/are interesting, they will mark your question with a "Star". 2) Go to your Profile page, scroll down to your Answers' list; Click on "My Questions" tab; You will see some numbers right next to the 'star' beside to your questions. The number shows the stars you have received to that question. Have a Nice Day. **2 of your previous questions were starred. Including the stars you got for this question, you have 9 stars right now.

When you post a question in yahoo and they find it interesting, other users will give you a star.

People will star your question for many reasons. For thinking your Q is interesting. For thinking your statement or reason behind your Q was interesting or that they agreed with it. Or for a "pat on the back" you could say. Peace.
