Which is better: Sheer Cover, Bare Minerals or Loreal's Minerals?

Is Loreals bare naturals the same as bare minerals really?

  • I have heard and read different things so I thought I'd ask again and get some new opinions. I don't really want to spend the $73 to get the bare minerals starter kit if i can pay $15 for Loreal.

  • Answer:

They are sum what the same. L'oreal has more ingredients and not all of them are natural. Bare minerals is all natural but it contains Bismuth which can clog pores and cause breakouts. Affordable Mineral Makeup is all natural and does not contain bismuth. It is fairly close in price to L'oreal. Bare Minerals Foundation Bismuth Oxychloride, Mica, Iron Oxide, Titanium Dioxide Bare Minerals Mineral Veil (finishing powder) Cornstarch, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Magnesium Stearate, Zinc Stearate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. May Contain: Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide Loreal Bare Naturale Foundations Titanium dioxide, Zinc oxide, Talc, boron nitride, Dimethicone, Carnaba wax, Cetyl dimethicone, Trimethyloxysilicate, Trisocetyl citrate, Alde baradensis leaf juice, Tocopheryroyl, Panthenol. I use Affordable Mineral Makeup. I have tried a few others, but they either contains small amounts of preservatives or are made up with a lot of fillers. The mineral makeup goes a long way. It is a little bit more than some of the drugstore foundations but it will last longer. It brings out your natural beauty while minimizing any flaws or wrinkles. It is multi-purpose and very versatile. Affordable Mineral Makeup is micro-formulated using the highest quality minerals and botanicals; being naturally preservative and irritant-free it is also weightless and incredibly long-wearing. It does not clog pores and it has a naturally high SPF. It helps to calm and soothe irritated skin with its zinc content, and is water resistant. Providing excellent coverage. Affordable Mineral Makeup does not contain Bismuth Oxychloride like many of the other mineral foundations do. Bismuth can clog your pores and cause your skin to itch. There are problems associated with it. Its molecular makeup is a crystalline shape, which may be a cause of the itchiness some women get when they wear it. Many women experience noticeable itching when they sweat. Don't forget it is also kin to arsenic, chemically. Your body will reject things it does not like, and if you'll get sick from ingesting arsenic, it would make sense that your skin would get irritated from having arsenic forced into it. Companies use Bismuth in their cosmetics because it is cheap to buy and is an inexpensive filler. It does have binding qualities, so the makeup will "stick" to your skin, so to speak. But there are other products that are just as effective at adhesion, and are better for your skin. Many other makeups contain preservatives that are also not good for your skin. Benefits of Affordable Mineral Makeup itself: Each ingredient has its own special quality and purpose in the makeup. These are the ingredients making up Affordable Mineral Makeup, pure and simple. Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Iron Oxides •Zinc Oxide is known for its healing properties in problem skin such as rosacea and acne, it has the ability to stay on even while sweating and swimming, as well as offers protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. •Titanium Dioxide also has waterproof and SPF properties while providing a Matte look. •Mica has some transparent properties and allows the makeup to go on smoothly. •Iron Oxides give the makeup its pigment.

No, but it is basically the same idea. Go to Sephora. They have a Bare Minerals testing area. If you like it, try the Loreal at the drugstore and then decide which brand you would like to buy! Good Luck!!!

Sir Squidley

I think they are the same thing. They are both mineral, aren't they?
