Dying hair with Nutrisse Hair Colour after using Natural Henna?

  • Okay so here the deal, i have natural black-dark brown hair. Last month i used natural henna to dye my hair, but to my disadvantage it didn`t really do much to my hair, the most it did was maybe add a little red to it in the sun, but nothing noticeable. I was wondering if i could now use a hair colouring bout from a pharmacy. And if so, would it damage my hair.

    I had used natural henna earlier and it really dint have much of an effect except for a reddish tint. If you colour it now it wont be a problem. i had streaked my hair about 2 weeks after so i should know. The only problem with colouring your hair is that you'll need to look after it really well later. Otherwise it could lead to hair loss or rough brittle hair later. But no major side-effects otherwise. All the best!!! xoxo

If you used a high quality henna without anything metalic in it, you're fine coloring over it with any chemical. But if you got a cheap henna, then you may run into problems but probably not. I've put dyes over all types of hennas before, with absolutely no problems. But I've heard of some people who do

If it has been a month you should be good to use a "chemical" product over top of the henna. The henna product did what it was suppose to...with henna you can not go lighter only darker. Since you started with very dark hair the only thing it did was highlight your grays or lighter strands of hair. I would suggest that you do a strand test with the nutrisse product before you all over application, just to be safe.
