    it really depends on many factors, most importantly the texture of your hair. also do you want strong hold (gel) medium hold (wax) or light hold (pomade). the best way to find your answer is to find a good hairdresser, talk to them about what you want (we like seeing pictures of the look you're looking for) and try what they recommend. there are also plenty of new products out there, combination wax/gel, pastes, gums, etc. also ask them (if they don't already do it) to explain to you how to use it: how much, use wet or dry, emulsify first etc. good luck!!

If you want a dry look shoot for American Crew Fiber but for a great wet look get some trufitt and hill C.A.R. cream. Its been around since the early 1900's and was invented to help with windswept hair caused by the invention it was named after.
