What is SPCA?

What happens to a kitten when you bring it to the SPCA?

  • I had to give away my three kittens away to the SPCA less than a week ago, and I was wondering what they do to them. I really want to get them back, but I think its to late.

  • Answer:

I don't know about the area you live in but where i live they have to hold them at least three days before they can be adopted out. Call there first thing in the morning and ask if they still are there. Only if you really want them back. But if they are not a non kill spca they hold them only for so long and if no one adopts them they are put down..

i think you should go see the S.P.C.A. just explain to them that you dropped them of there and are wondering if there are still there. if there are, they might give them back for a small charge, depends the S.P.C.A shelter. hope you get them back :)

most likely given a medical vet evaluation. then putting it in the cat room if it's adoptable. They usually see if it can live with dogs too. I expect they put many down do to illness or just not adoptable. There is a time consideration, the longer it stays the more likely put down. Everyone likes kittens tho'
