How to make a bird trap?

    Before you go any further I must point out,that it is "Illegal"to set a bird trap,in the U.K. unless you hold a D.E.F.R.A. Licence,this applies to land owners and anyone else. The only person's that are allowed legally are Bird Societies ,Councils and Game keepers ,but only for pests in the case of Gamekeepers and these are restricted to birds such as Magpies and Carrion crows. Councils are allowed to catch Feral pigeons. Bird societies are allowed to catch and ring for scientific reasons only. Sparrows are disapearing from our gardens so why do you want to trap them. So just forget it

Why do you want to use traps for birds????????????? This birds belong in the wild.......... Let them live out there, maybe they do have a nest or babies already. Enjoy them coming into your area. If you want birds, buy some, which should be in a cage, cause they couldn't make it out there, like budgies, lovebirds, cockatiels, finches and so on. I have over 500 birds, mainly parrots. But I give them a good life, in huge cages, like 2 by 4 m/2 and a good diat. Many other birds come flying by and I love to watch them. Often I had to handraise streetbirds, like woodpeckers, falcon, owls and more, when they were ready, I let them go. Often I have the feeling they are happy now, they pass by,too. There are some birds, they really should be left free, please think about that. I hope, you make the right decision.

Catching wild native birds is illegal, they are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act...you can end up being heavily fined and sentenced to prison. Leave wild birds where they belong....in the wild.

Put some rice then get a basket then put long rope to the stick then get the stick and place it to the basket so it will stand then if the birds come pull the stick then have some fun with the birds
