there are many diseases that can cause blood in the droppings of birds. I would call avian vets around area and see if they will see your bird. Get a second opinion. Most vets will not give meds that go into water as the bird never gets the proper dose. Also are you sure your bird did not eat anything red color? Chew on red wood toys? many times what they eat or swallow comes out looking the same. I say this as you said the bird was not acting sick all.He may be staying in corner now due to stress of taking him and also knows the water is not the same. Keep him warm and do some research on different illness in birds that cause blood in droppings and also check his cage for anything he could have eaten that is red. Includes pellets, wood that chewed as they are dyed with veggie dye, food you fed? would not offer him fried cheese again as birds are lactose intolerant and cannot digest milk products also fried is not good all to give them. I hope he is ok. I would really consider another vet visit. Good luck

Mix the medicine with water, and feed it to him with a spoon. Make sure he is warm, but don't point a light directly at him. Give him *** much comfort as possible.. And dont just take him to a vet, take him to an avian vet. I wish you luck.

Parrots are smart, they'll know something is wrong with the water. Take to the nearest animal hospital and explain everything to them. I trust hospitals more than private practitioners. Give it a go and see what they say

Do what your vet says. They know best. If you are still worried you can either go back for another visit, or get a second opinion from another vet.

Kate

go to the vet

Do not take the bird to another vet or pet hospital. They know nothing about birds. Get heat onto the bird asap. A bare light bulb - 40 watts, right at the place where he is perched. Put a non toxic towel over 3/4 of the cage. Leave the light on for 3-4 days. You better Google the medicine first then if you think it is good for a bird, you can use a small syringe to give him a drop or two several times a day. You can drop one drop on the beak and it will run down and the bird may ingest it. Please do not feed cheese, avocado, chocolate, caffeine to bird. Ever.
