HOW TO MAKE A HOME MADE BIRD TRAP?

• Ok so there is a baby bird in our backyard and we dont want our dog any where near it. We wanna make a home made trap that is easy to make. We wanna use supplies that u usually find at home. We dont wanna touch the bird! And after we catch it we r going to feed it and then let it go!!! Plz hrlp! Kids r involved with makeing the trap! But we rnt letting them go near the bird!!! PLZZZZ HELP

  So this works... but it takes time. What you need: Bird feed, a laundry basket, a large(ish) stick, and string. 1) Hang up a bird feeder in your backyard. Make sure you also put a lot of bird seeds on the ground under the feeder. 2) Wait until you notice birds have found the feeder and the bird feed under the feeder. This may take awhile, but don't worry, birds will find the feeder. Also, since you are trying to catch a specific bird, it may take a bit longer. 3) Once the baby bird has found the feeder and the bird feed on the ground, place the laundry basket underneath the feeder. If should be propped up on the stick and the stick should have the string attached to it. The string should be long enough for you to hold, but you are out of sight of the birds. Make sure there is extra bird feed under the laundry basket.. 4) Check back regularly. If you see the baby bird under the laundry basket eating, run outside to where you put the other end of the string and pull. The twig should come out from under the basket and the basket should drop, causing the bird to be trapped under the laundry basket. Hope I helped! Please remember to release the bird...
