How do crickets die this is weird?

WHY DO MY CRICKETS DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

  • WHY DO MY CRICKETS DIE i hade 25 crickets in a cricket holder. when i went to feed my gecko none came out. so i looked in their and all but 1 were dead and their was little bugs on the bottom. what are the bugs? are thay baby crickets or something else.

    you can provide them slices of apple to allow them food and moisture. they also need temps of at least 75 degrees, but preferably 90 degrees. they live longer in higher temps. crickets live up to seven weeks from birth. they also prefer darkness. i don't know about the bug thing. they may have been in there when you bought the crickets and not noticed them...

You didn't give them food...They actually make cricket food in the petshop or you can give them a piece of fruit or lettuce..even grass from the backyard works too. Bugs...well they are dead..bugs eat all dead things.

they died because they are living creatures. Like any other living creature, you need to take care of it in order for it to live longer. And the little ones, if they resembled the crickets only in miniature then they were likely baby crickets

Crix die pretty easily in captivity. What work for me is, I put sand in the bottom, and keep food and water crystals available at all times. Keep the temps up too. Too cold, and they start to die fast. I keep a thousand at a time, buy them about 3/4 full grown, and can usually get a full month out of them before they start dropping from old age. When I first started, I was lucky to get a month from 1/4 sized crix.

Do they have food? the bugs were probably just nats eating the dead crickets. put some cricket food (buy at any pet store) or some apple slices. also a wet paper towel for water. replace it everyday. keep the cage clean. also, how long have you had the crickets? they could just be dying of old age. good luck!
