My pet rabbit is shaking after being outside?

My pet cat has been attacking my pet rabbit just all of a sudden ? (after 4 years)?

  • hey, i have a pet cat. he's male and around 11.5 to 12 years old and he isn't neutered. Ive had in for about 9 years now. I also have a pet rabbit. She's a female. About 4 to 4.5 years old. Had her for about 4 years now. At first when i introduced them to each other my cat was more frightened. He would always run away when the rabbit was around. Also was sometimes scared to even run past her haha but he got use to her eventually (after longs hours of supervision being around each other haha). Now my rabbit was the complete different, she was so curious towards the cat. Would often follow him about haha but she eventually got use to him. Now that was 4 years. just recently, they have been fighting with each other. My cat would often go for my rabbit. Like claws out and even rips out fur. My rabbit will then chase him like in rage. Trying to bite him. When my rabbit starts chasing the cat, she is growling and my cat just runs. then my rabbit is like enraged. Runs around grunting and she even bites me. I don't blame her obviously. So what is it just recently that has spooked them about each other ?

  • Answer:

She could be getting more territorial, especially if she isn't spayed. Or vice versa, since the cat isn't neutered. In the meantime, keep them separated, obviously.
