Hi there .Your 2 front left and right speakers are located between your TV but not next to them .The TV should be exactly in the center of the speakers The center channel speaker has to be exactly half way between the 2 front speakers.either on top of or below the TV.The sub woofer should preferably be down the front and in the center of the room to get an even response. The 2 surround speakers can be located behind you up high on a wall if it is not too far from you. If it is you can put them on the side walls opposite you where you sit. Here is a link showing the components and how they go together. http://www.aperionaudio.com/AperionU/51vs71.aspx

The rules of thumb I've used for good stereo imaging, is that the two front speakers and your sweet spot, listening location should form an isosceles triangle. (An equal distance between all three) The center channel should be positioned either on top of or below the TV screen, and aimed directly at the main listening area. The surrounds should be just behind your head and off to either side. The sub can be placed almost anywhere, believe it or not. Try along the front wall next to one of your mains or a corner of the room.
