How to wire neons to plug?

Help with wiring an RCA plug to a 3.5mm speaker wire , DIY?

• hi i recently found a 10watt subwoofer in my house and had the idea to connect it to my pc speakers. The subwoofer has 4 red, white (RCA) plug in's in the back but unfortunatly my speakers for pc are a single 3.5mm chord. I decided to "SPLICE" the speakerwire to an extra rca wires i had lying around. so i stripped both wires. the red rca, the white rca, and my pc speakers. i connected the RED rca wire to the RED wire in my pc speakers, The WHITE RCA to the BLACK wire in my pc speakers and VIOLA, when plugged into my subwoofer both speakers work as well as my sub. BUT there is a hissing static sound in both speakers very undesirable, i know the cause of this and it is becuase i havnt connected my EARTH or GROUND wires to anything. thats my problem, i dont know where to connect the earth wires if i connect all the earth wires from each wire ( RED, WHITE and pc speaks) there is no HISS but only one speaker works, if i connect the PC ground wire to either the white ground or the red ground, each works individually with no hiss , but not together. Ive tried connecting touching the pc speakers ground wire to both the white connections and red connections again comes in clear through one speaker. If anyone can tell me how to wire the grounds so they come out clear in both speakers would be appreciated. (Sorry if this sounds confusing a diagram would be better to show my setup.

  it might be better and cheaper to just buy a 3.5mm to RCA adapter (also known as a "Y" adapter), you can get from Amazon. it will also solve your hissing sound, you can get them in both Male or Female connections, you can get it under $4.00.
