Are all plasma TV's wall mountable?

Changing my plasma speakers?

  • I have a plasma that has two long speakers screwed to either side and attached to the tv via removable speaker cables. I am building this into a wall and to save on space need to remove the speakers. This done i have no sound unless i turn my home cinema on for sounound sound. I would like to attach two in wall mounted speakers as these would fit to allow me to watch tv without the amp on. Watching news etc with baby asleep. Uptill now i could use the tvs speakers but now need to know if I can replace them with two other small in wall speakers like the ones you get in a bathroom. The out put will only be powered by the tv not an amp and the speakers on the tv at the mo are 7w 4 ohm each. Anyone know of a in wall speaker capable of this that is no bigger than 5" round mounting. Ps do I need to get a 7w speaker to replace as the lowest I can find is around 15w for a ceiling speaker? Any advice would be good. Thanks.

  • Answer:

Speakers with higher power ratings (more than 7 Watts) will work fine, but try to stick with 4 ohm impedance for the new speakers.

A 15 watt speaker will work just fine. With wattage you can go above just don't go below.
