HDMI connection problems.

HDMI connection to TV quit working after reset?

• I reset my laptop after making required updates and now my HDMI connection to my television no longer works. Had no problems with this before. I have tried changing the port, resetting the computer both with and without the HDMI cable connected to the computer and/or television and a myriad of different combinations of this. I've tried going through control panel to attempt to make a connection to the tv as either a projector or an external display, but nothing has worked so far. The computer does not even recognize that it is connected to the tv, as sound and picture are unchanged on my laptop whereas during a normal connection sound only comes through the tv and picture is on both.

  Try connecting your TV with another HDMI source such as DVD player or games console. If that works you'll know the problem is at the computer not the cable or TV. I would then reinstall the HDMI card driver from the manufacturers. Good luck!
