What do these Amp settings Mean?

I need help in understanding frequency settings on my Energy ESP-12?

  • I just bought this sub yesterday in perfect condition for $65. Can someone tell me what audio/video low frequency equalization is and where it should be set to? Also, what does the roll-off frequency mean and what should that be set to?     You need to set this by ear. There is no hard and fast rule here since it relates to your room and the main speakers. Three things are going on here: 1. equalization will create a "bump" at the frequency that rolloff starts. I would leave this set to zero. 2. rolloff frequency is the frequency that the sub starts working at. So, if your main speakers are good down to 70 Hz, rolloff frequency should be at (or slightly above) 70 hz. 3. level is how loud the sub plays...adjust to taste
