Can a mathematically sound prediction interval have a negative lower bound?

Sound problem. Sound card related?

  • I'll start this off by saying I run music all the time (Youtube, internet radio, different audio players, etc..) So something is bound to go wrong and I fear my soundcard could be getting pushed to much. I hear a scratchy sound that stalls whatever music I play pop up every couple mins - 10mins. Could this be a glitch in my computer or is my sound card starting to die, or maybe my earphones suck. I cant afford to get new soundcard (long while anyway). so to salvage what I have how could I configure sound output to do less damage to the soundcard? Would turning the sounds help (Its still makes weird sounds on low)? or will I have to stop listening to music all together and just have it for video games and important stuff? I already went to Realtek and changed it to CD quality to see if that helps. Vista Windows 7, Compaq, Asus g73jh. I don't know much about computers but here's a link. http://usa.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G73Jh/ Some advice on helping my soundcard last longer would be great. And maybe some other things that could spawn this weird sound like laptop heat (I heard it can cause this.?

  • Answer:

You cannot update laptops sound cards, as they are built into the motherboard.
