How to fax to ottawa?

Can't fax too other office.?

• im trying too fax from a brother MFC 7820N to a HP 640 fax, both have good dial tone and can send and receive fax's from and too other fax machines. but they don't work together at all, they can't send or receive from each other. I have recently hooked up the Brother fax to a computer and downloaded the newest drivers, but know one knows if it worked before I worked here. The HP is not hooked up too a computer. Ok so when we try to fax from ether one the fax machine, the other fax picks up and the read out say's receiving, but the beeps don't sound right and then it hangs up with no print out at all. But on the sending side we get a print out of busy/no reasponse. We under stand that it could be fixed by buying a new fax machine and I like would please ask that no one responds with that answer, its a $300 dollare answer that we all ready figured out.   Can you send 1 way between the 2 or neither way ? If neither way could be some odd variance in the signal tones causing them to not understand each other. Check manual for them,should be an option to "lock" it to a 14,400k modem speed, and reduce the handshaking, try that on both first. Then set 1 back to normal, if it goes ok, return other to normal . . . play around like that to get best solution.
