Is there an All-In-One printer that uses less ink?
-
I have a Lexmark X4270 All-In-One printer for working at home. It uses SO much ink though! Does anyone know of an All-In-One that doesn't use much ink. I've been buying the moderate yield ink cartridges and I know that they use more ink, but I have not had that much more luck with the normal cartridges. I can pretty much go through a moderate yield cartridge in two weeks and I don't print THAT much! Thanks!!!

Answer:
I recommend Epson cx series (cx7400/cx8400) because of the print quality and the warranty. For a year Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one. Ink cartridges are expensive, but you can get cheap replacements for $5 which work well here http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp You can find the printers at buy.com, usually in the $60-$70 range BEFORE rebate.

Sorry, but I like my Lexmark printer. I have a Lexmark X2350 all -in-one. It uses cartridge "1" which is black ink and clor ink together. I print ALOT and I only have to buy a new cartridge every three- six months (depending). They cost around $20.00. I'm one of the few people I know who likes Lexmark, though, so my thoughts probably don't count. I have heard good things about Hewlett Packard, you could try one of those. My dad told me about this company, think4ink that sells ink cartridges for really cheap. We have tried them and really like them. Places like Wal-mart and such sell cartridges that are only about a half to three-quarters of the way full. think4ink sells full cartridges and gives you deals if you send them your old cartridges (as long as they aren't all dried out and are reusable). You should really check them out. They're a small company in Prescott, AZ started by a bunch of retired teachers. Good company. They'll really work with you and give you good deals. Get rid of the Lexmark. The only reason so many people get them free in a package is because no one would buy them Try an Epsom. Mine uses very little ink. Normally.
