Do printers have a printing history? If so?

Problem printing from Mac to a XP printers?

  • Any mac genius's able to tell me where I'm going wrong. I have 4 printers setup and shared on an XP pc (2 hp and 2 canon printers). I added all 4 of them on a mac book air (OSX 10.7.2), using the generic PCL driver. The HP printers now work fine (1 laserjet and 1 deskjet), but the Canon's refuse to print. I can see the prints being passed to the print queue on the XP machine, then disappearing out of the queue, but nothing is printed. I downloaded Mac drivers from the Canon website for the printers (IX4000 and an IP4200), and installed these on the mac. After re-creating the printers on the Mac, the prints now get stuck in both of the print queues. On the Mac they have a status of "printing" and on the XP print queue they have a status of "spooling", but they never leave the queue and never print. Any ideas?

  • Answer:

In all seriousness ditch the Mac, and get your self a PC. I am just being honest.
