Why can't I play computer games in full screen?

Computer Screen turns into different colors when running games?

  • Computer Screen turns Yellow/Gray/Green when I play games! So basically my computer monitor turns either Yellow Gray or Green when i run Morden Warfare 2, League of Legends or any other game. I got this computer about 2 days ago. AMD Phenom2 X6 1055T, AM3 2,8 Ghz 6 Core G.Skill Ripjaws Gaming - DDR3 1333MHz 2x 4GB AMD Radeon HD6950 1GB 1TB (1000GB) Hardrive 7200RPM, 32mb cache och 630W. I run Windows 7. My monitor is a Toshiba TV screen 22". I use an HDMI Cable. Tried VGA with an converter cuse my computer only has HDMI. Same ****, turned all this colors.... Less often tough. Sometimes I can play just fine, but some times i just cant start it cuse 30 seconds in to the game it happens. Im not able to do CTRL ALT DEL or anything like that.... Only way is to shut down and start my computer all over again.... Both Screen and computer AND HDMI CABLE are new. Tried re install games, tried re install OS, tried re install drivers... Tried VGA. Tried change settings on graphics on both computer and screen. Tried contact the company that made my computer. My last hope is to get a answer from here :( NOTE: I play the same game on Xbox 360 without problems with a HDMI cable on the same screen.

  • Answer:

It's clearly a faulty GPU but to be sure run Furmark and see if any image errors appear (screen tearing, colors, etc.) http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ If the issue appears in Furmark then you have to return the GPU.
