When I'm typing on brand new this MacBook, the letter "t" the makes cursor jump backwards in the text. Why?

The cursor repositions itself without any order or purpose. It's random, but only when the letter "t" is pressed. Maddening! Any thoughts why and what (other than taking it back to the shop) can be done about it?
