Does someone know how to download movies from the Comcast DVR to my computer?

Will someone please help me with my Dell Latitude laptop?

  • I have a dell latitude d600. I recently updated my drivers from dell.com I called the computer store that I bought my laptop from to make sure everything inside was dell and they said everything was. I entered my info at dell.com and it gave me a list of updated drivers to download. I downloaded them and now I have a few problems that I do not know anything about. I do not want to go to the store I bought it from because not only did they rip me off, but they also suck really really bad. So will someone please help me? Here is the list of what I downloaded: Applications(1 downloaded) Dell-Application - applies to Quickset Audio(1 downloaded) Sigmatel-Driver - applies to STAC 9750-AC97 Chipset(2 downloaded) Intel-Driver - applies to mobile chipset Micro-Driver - applies to 02711EC1 PCMCIA/SmartCard Communication(4 downloaded) Conexant-Application - applies to D480 MDC V.92 Modem Conexant-Diagnostics Utility - applies to D480 MDC V.92 Modem Conexant-Driver - applies to D480 MDC V.92 Modem Conexant-HTML - applies to D480 MDC V.92 Modem Input Device Drivers(1 downloaded) Alps- Driver - applies to glidepoint/stickpointer Network(4 downloaded) Broadcom-Application - applies to 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller Broadcom-Diagnostics Utility - applies to 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller Broadcome-Driver - applies to 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller Broadcom-HTML - applies to 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller Patches and Fixes(1 downloaded) Dell-Patch/Upgrade - applies to Patches and Fixes (Cross LOB) System Utilities(1 downloaded) Dell-Utility - applies to Notebook System Software Video(1 downloaded) ATI-Driver - applies to Mobility Radeon 9000 Now here is the list of problems that I have found(so far): Under device manager the following say that no drivers have been installed: Direct Memory Access Numeric Data Processor At first I had a problem with the Generic CardBus Controller, but I rolled back the driver and now the error message has disappeared. Does this mean I can delete the file(s) for the updated driver from dell since I rolled it back? How do I know which one it is? The only other problem I have is the fact that my computer kind of runs like a damn turtle. I use AVG free edition, Spyware Doctor and Comodo Firewall. My Windows XP firewall is also still on. Spyware Dr finds many things that AVG does not, but I do not use the anti-virus portion of Spyware Dr. I snagged a free version of Spyware Dr, but it did not include the anti-virus portion so I use AVG for that. I really do not think I have much on my computer. It isn't a super computer or anything. Just your basic browse the web and download movies/music kinda thing. I know movies can take up a lot of space, but could they really slow my computer down so much? I scan with Spyware Dr and AVG everyday. I scan with Spyware Dr pretty much every time I use the web. It always comes up with cookie infections which all say low level threat. I press fix and it says my computer is now clean. Does that mean that I am completely infection free? Or does anything still linger around? I have a lot of free space so I'm not sure why my computer is so slow. Someone please help me. Free disk space 58.6 GB Total size 74.5 GB Some computer information that might help: Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition 5.1 Dell Latitude D600 BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A14 Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.60Ghz Memory: 512MB RAM

  • Answer:

See over there on the left side of the Yahoo Answer page? Brad from Dell.com? Ask him. I'm curious as to what he says. Me? I would download CCleaner for free, and clean my registry out! 1.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCleaner 2.http://www.ccleaner.com/
