Why can't I open Exe files?

Cant open EXE files.?

• I had the Blue Death Screen and the Worm Blaster virus today and i dunno but i guess they magically dissapeered. The only problem is i cant open and Exe files for unknown reason. When i click one it said open with and i click one and it doesnt work. The only way i got Firefox to work was clicking browse on internet. I use Windows 7 and it didnt even let me open my documents because it was a Exe file. Please Help guys.

  You can't open exe files to prevent you from using programs that will clean the virus, they don't magically disappear. Get the virus out first, you may not need an exe fix. actually sounds like malware, it makes up phony virus' you don't have, try malwarebytes It never hurts to have a multitude of tools just make sure they don't counter one another, 2 virus scanners is bad, because to a virus scanner, another virus scanner look like a virus! Ok, so malwarebytes, virus scan program, also, look at bleepingcomputer.com they are a pretty good answer database there too
