How can I access my Internet Explorer history?

Internet explorer 7 file history?

• I once found a way to view downloaded files (almost like a history menu) in internet explorer 7, but I can no longer recall how to access this menu. Does anyone know what I am talking about, and if so would you be willing to tell me how to get back there? I am using windows vista, if that helps. Perhaps if I am incorrect about this menu being in internet explorer 7 it may be a function of vista? Thanks.

  I am assuming you are looking for your Temporary Internet Files. They are located under your profile on the computer. You have to set the file setting to allow you to see hidden files, as Windows hides the folder by default. Once you have set your file settings to allow you to see hidden files and system folders, look for a folder under your profile named Local Settings. In that folder you will see a Temporary Internet Files Folder. This is where IE7 keeps the Temporary Internet Files. Most of the time if you are logged on, Vista will not let you look at the files. If you log on using the Administrator account and then select your profile it will then allow you to look at the files.
