If u download by using Internet Explorer, look for the 'Temporary Files' Folder in ur hard-drive. Search the file there and u will get it.

what you are best doing is go in to my documents and create a new file called downloads, so the next time you do download and it asks where you want to send it send it there and all your downloads are in one easy place for you to access them, i hope this helps

When you go to download something, it usually ask where you want to save it so it depends on where you tell the machine. If yours does it automatically, it probably is going to "My documents" click start, then click "my documents" and look for the downloaded item.

by default they go to the my computer folder unless you specify another one or the program extractor forces it to go somewhere else.

Usually the go into My Documents in a My Download folder. But when you are doing the download, it will show the name of the file are downloading. When done, click the Start button, select Search and search for all files and folders and look for that file. Once you have found it, you will know where your future downloads will go.

I think the default is 'My Documents'. In Mozilla, go to Tools/Options/Downloads to specify where you want downloaded files to go. I'm sure there is something similar in Internet Explorer, but I like my computer so I don't use IE.

If you don't set an option when you save (use save instead of run, then save it to a location you know - I usually use desptop) - to find a file you have downloaded and didn't specify the location it's usually in Windows temp but that can vary depending on how your users are set up. If not there, then use file search for the name of the file. If you don't know the file name go back to where you downloaded it and either right click and chosse save target as - then see what the file name is, and don't save the file and search for it.

It goes to where you told it to go, or where it is set up to download to. This is different on every computer and depends on the OS and programs used, and how they have been set up. Some of the guesses that people have made might be right, but you may well have to go looking yourself! Rawlyn.
