Will a phone number show up on a landline bill?

When you call a number long distance, does the number you called show up on the phone bill?

• I've been calling this guy in the US on my phone - and I don't want my parents to know I've been keeping in touch with him over the phone. My phone service is Shaw Digital Phone, and I really don't want them to know I've been phoning him! If it does show up on the bill, is there a way I can call and request that it doesn't show up? I would like to know very soon, please! D=

  Long distance calls will always show up on phone bills. That is just good accounting practice to track where your calling costs are being charged to. To itemize or not to itemize your long distance calls is not a discretionary option. If Shaw Digital is anything like the home phone VoIP services I use, then even if you don't get an itemized phone bill, with every call detailed, your parents can just log onto their Shaw Digital account and get an online CDR (Call Detail Record) of All Calls made to and from the account - local and long distance. With the VoIP services I use, I can view, online, my CDR for "every" phone call incoming and outgoing from my VoIP account.
