What happened to launchcast radio?

Sirius Radio and Launchcast Problem?

• I have Sirius Radio and Launchcast from Yahoo. As of a few weeks ago the media players from both of them quit working.The customer service people from both companies have no idea what the problem is. I also had a Dell rep (my brother) check my computer and it is working fine. Any suggestions or has this happened to anybody before?

  Well, I would say your PC is not working fine, or you wouldn't be having problems with two separate media player applications. I think you need to narrow down this problem. Can you play ANY streaming content from the internet, say with Windows Media Player, Winamp, Quicktime, or something else? You might need to reinstall WMP or check your firewall to make sure it isn't blocking streaming file applications. Did a recent Microsoft Patch Tuesday update possibly bollix up your system? Can you go back to an earlier Restore Point and hear your Launchcast station again? What if you temporarily disable your firewall? There are so many possibilities, it's not possible for me to list all the potential things to check. You could look at my other answered Launchcast questions for other areas to investigate. (I don't have any experience with the Sirius Radio player, so I can't be of much help there, but it wouldn't surprise me that if you fix Launchcast, your Sirius problem will go away, too.)
