HELP! Computer isnt showing that my ipod is plugged in!?

I suggest re-setting your ipod. Go to apple.com to get a step by step guide on how to do so. If it still doesn't work I would re-install the software. That happened to me and after I reset it, it went back to normal.

Got to gabenewells.com and they have a searcer icon

just go to my computer or whatever and manually find it

try this control pannel>compyter management>other devises>ipod then uninstall :) that should sort it out :D

try tp un plug it and plug it back in or click on itunes on your desktop or go to ''my computer'' and click on the ipod. good luck. mine always does that.

I have had this problem many a time. I think it is a glitch. If I just unplug my iPod, restart my computer, then open up iTunes before plugging it back in, it seems to work fine.

Working at radio shack, I feel comfortable telling you that an initial problem with the 3rd gen Ipod is that the USB detection is a bit fragile, in order to fix it you need to pick up your Ipod and put it close to your mouth and yell at it. I'm serious, an initial part of the 3rd Gens is voice recognition. I've had at least 5 customers verify that this works. And Appearently, The Harsher the words you use the better sense Ipods have low self esteem in the first place

Start with the simple things: Is the cable attached and secure at both the iPod and USB port. Could the cable be damaged? is the iPod charged? Is there an icon on your screen covering up the one for your ipod. (if you're an Apple user )

plug it into the USB port in the back of the computer, not the front.
