How do I get music off of my old iPod mini onto my iTunes?

• I have a mini ipod and my computer crashed a while back so I still have all the music stored on my ipod, but I now need to get that music back onto my itunes along with adding all the recent music I have added to my itunes library. Last time I tried to do this, it wiped out all the music on my ipod. I believe it asked me if I wanted to sync my ipod, and I said yes and all the music on my ipod was gone- I want to avoid this!! Im sorry if this is confusing- I hope someone can help, as I am leaving fora trip in a few days and would like to get some of my new music on my ipod!

  ok. i think i know what you're saying. no, there is no way to recover the music that was on your mini once it has been erased. if the music on your computer has bee erased, you may want to try a system recovery. start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore. if on the other hand, you have a mac.. actualy not sure, but ill look it up if you email me and tell me that you do have a mac. good luck with it!
