What is 5.1 channel input?

Tv input channel problems?

  • I have a minsubishi 70 tv that is relatively old. I hooked it up to dish network, the problem is i can only view "TV2" on it and thats on channel 116. I checked on the system info and it said that TV1 was set for channel 3 and TV2 is set for channel 60. we have a second tv and it does work on channel 60 like it is supposed to and the TV we used to have for TV1 worked on channel 3 just fine. I dont know what im doing wrong or how to fix this. please help

    Hey Andrew! It sounds like it is related to the Modulator Setup. Each TV is different and will work on either Cable or Air. Your previous TV sounds like it was on Air, however this older TV may use Cable. Depending on your receiver; when you access the Modulator Setup from the TV2 and go to TV1 it may have the options of Air and Cable. If those options are available try changing the modulator to Cable; if those options are not available go over to TV1 and change the channel manually to CH 4. Another option you can try if available is using RCA (Red, Yellow, White) cables and put the TV onto the correct input to view television. If you have any other questions let me know!
