Some QAM tuners get more channels than others?
-
I have Comcast cable and 2 TVs both with a QAM tuner built in. When I connect both (in different rooms) one TV can receive more digital cable channels than the other. I have no idea why. Can anybody help?

Answer:
I think it's a reception thing. The cable companies are not obligated to open their signals for QAM tuners. They often just provide the local stations but tend to test and play with the signals on other channels. with the D and HD channels, I think if the signal isn't strong enough it won't come through. I've always noticed a reception difference on regular cable, which could be due to # of connections or length of cable.
