How do you add photos to SD Card?

Can't add photos to my SD card for my camera?

  • I can't delete any of the photos on my SD card, it doesn't give me the option to delete. Then I tried moving a PSD file and a box comes up saying "remove the write-protection or use another disk" I've tried 3 of my SD cards and all of them say that. I know they're enough room, they're 2g and 8g. How do I remove the write protection?

    You didn't read your user manual or know how this all works 1) at the end of each day, you are to upload all the images from that days shoot 2) once they are all safely on your computer, you need to format (NOT delete individual images) the card using the format feature on the camera (NOT the computer) 3) some time when you have enough images on your computer, burn a DVD as a backup to all your images So, I guess the question is did you format the cards when you first used them and are you doing what is listed above? Make sure do not mess with the little lever on the card, lock/unlock. Leave it in the unlocked position

Look at your card and slide the slider on the edge to unlock the card. There might be a setting on your camera to lock your card. Look through your MANUAL. When was the last time you formatted your memory card? Copy all the photos to your PC and then format your card. This will delete EVERYTHING on the card. If you haven't been shooting, downloading and formatting the card then your card could be corrupt. I do this after I shoot about 100 pics. I also back up to an external source.

There is a small switch beside the SD Card , just push it to unlock.

Delete from the computer. This however may lead to file corruption on your card. The best way to do it is to copy everything from the memory card to the computer. Format the memory card. Then copy back only the files you want to keep in the camera.
