How do i erase pictures on a digital camera?

  • when i plug it into the computer old pictures that are not mine are showing up. how do i delete thoes. i think they are stuck on the memory stick. i have tried to erase them on the camera they aren't even showing there. they are somewhere internal in the camera.

  • Answer:

You can do that manually with the erase botton (trash can icon), or you can select the delete option when downloading the pictures onto your computer.

instead of using the camera to delete use your pc if it still don't work format the mem stick that will surely do it.

try taking the memory stick out of the camera and then powering it on, it should switch to internal memeory. or try going thru the options on the camera and finding the storage one. You should be able to swicth from internal memory to the memory stick. Then it will pull up ones from the internal if there are any and you can delete them.

Take the picture you want onto your computer and make sure they're saved to the hard drive. After that format your memory stick and put the ones you like back on from the computer. That should do the trick.
