What is the best model of Epson?

Any idea to fix Epson Model L-500V digital camera?

• has just one erorr . Item does power on but will not open the lens.. is there way to make this lens open .. the warrnty ended so epson wont fix it.. i was thinking to cut around the lens and see if i take normal images .. but i worry that will destroy it forever

  I take it that there is no visible obstruction to opening the lens? Does zoom work? Does the lens extend at all when you power on the camera? If the lens is not responsive at all... Well, you have a much bigger problem then. If the only thing that does not happen - actual opening of the lens cover - you can try two things: 1. Clean it . Try to blow some compressed air at it. 2. Try to open it by hand. Just slid the curtain away, see if the mechanism will pick up. If both fail... well, you have two choices still: 1. Seek professional repair service, which will probably cost you about half the value of that camera (not too wise). 2. Trash it and buy a new one... If you choose #2 above... well, before you trash it - you can try anything, including the cutting of the plastic. Just try to use a right tool, so that you don't scratch the lens in a process. LEM. P.S. Oh, and before everything else - try a fresh set of batteries... By any chance, there may just not be enough juice to move the mechanical parts?
