Dodge Neon Car cuts out when I turn left?

Dodge neon delayed start up?..turn key nothing happens for a few seconds but then starts.?

  • first happened when i went to get gas then i tried to turn the car back on but no noise or anything what so ever...i ended up changing the starter and my car was running good everything was fine but now when i turn the key nothing happens unless i hold it in the starting position for a while..this isnt everytime just sometimes but its annoying and i dont wanna be stuck somewhere again not being able to start the car so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas what could be wrong that the car wont start right away...ignition switch ignition coil...loose wiring somewhere? different thing but if anyone would know..what does it mean when the transmission buzzes sometimes...usually when im standing still and turn the wheel would be the worst..this is just occasionally though...supposedly it was replaced by previous owner but i spent more on the car than i paid for it already so who knows...im thinking about getting a transmission kit(filter hoses seal) hopefully that would do some good..only 50 bux

If this was my car, here's what I'd do. Find the fuse box and remove the ignition fuse for about a minute. Put it back in. Then, EVERY time you get in to start the car, close the door and turn the key to ON, not to start. Let the bells get quiet and see that some of the dash lights will go off. Then turn the key to START. The control module needs that few seconds to set all the sensors. "Buzzing" when you try to start it could be the electric fuel pump. As for the trans, I wouldn't be opening it for repairs, I'd go to a shop that flushes the trans while it's running. That cleans the fluid and uses the trans pump to do it so that invasive part is taken out of the equation. That's usually less than a hundred bucks. The power steering can make noises when the car is stopped and you're turning the wheel, it's reacting to the pressure of the non-moving turn and low RPM's. Be sure the fluid is filled properly and that should stop that issue.

It could be your ignition switch,or a loose wire.On the trans buzzing, check your power steering fluid. That's the easy part. The big question is this. Are you really in love with the car? Sounds like you'd be better off, finding something better. This could become a money pit,and in the end,not worth all you just dumped into it.
