Brakes on a 1979 Pontiac LeSabre?

1979 Chevy silverado (question on brakes)?

  • I did the front brakes, And they work i believe so. Havent tooken the truck out since im not risking an accident just to test the brakes at certain speeds. 'Since its winter' The dash light saying 'Brake' still pops on all the time i'd say about 80% of the time i always have to press the brake a few times for it to go out. then it reappears when i play with the brake pedal again. but the main question is. On a 79Chevy Silverado, Is there even any 'rear' brakes? And if so are the brakes within the 'Drum'? & is the Bleeder on the top of the drum facing towards the middle of the truck / Drive shaft?. The bleeders for the front's where easy to see, Easy to loosen and such. But the back ones i can't seem to see the Bleeder, Unless what i was looking at was the bleeder witch i described to you above. And if that is the bleeder why is it like rusted to the point where it wont even open?

  • Answer:
