What is the Cost of living in Tanzania?

• My friend has an offer from Plasco Limited ,Dar es Salaam ,Tanzania . Plz. tell me if the country is safe for Foreigners and what is its cost of living ? If he is paid $3000per month , can live there comfortably ? How is the Company Plasco Limited ?

  hi, if he gets 3000 dollars its pretty good, cause the cost of living there is relatively low. if he wants to keep his western standard as good as that is possible in tanzania, then it will cost him about 1000 dollars per month. but then the immigration status n all that should be clear before because thats how companies in tanzania get people to work without keeping their promises - thats experience. we have been living there. we didnt get any problems but we saw many others getting lots of problems.
