Why should the U.S. be trusted with nukes if the U.S. is the only country to ever have used a nuclear weapon?

  • In terms of warfare, the U.S. is technically the only country to have ever used a nuclear weapons. So my question is, why would the U.S. go out of there way to spend trillions upon trillions of dollars invading countries that supposedly have nuclear weapons of mass destruction when the U.S. is in fact the only country to ever actually used a nuclear weapon? Shouldn't other countries be skeptical about the fact that we have nuclear weapons as opposed to the other way around? It just seems overwhelmingly hypocritical that the U.S. is so aggressive towards invading countries that possibly have nuclear weapons while we're the only country to have ever actually used them during wartime... Your thoughts?

  • Answer:

The world is already quite familiar with the lies, the false flag operations, the need to create an excuse to start something frequently used by the USA. The US is fast becoming a hopeless case unless the people wake up.

I think you need to spend some time reading about the end of WWII and the rationale for using the bomb on Japan. At the time it was estimated that to invade japan was going to cost around 1 million American lives and the way the Japanese were fighting all of their lives The Bomb killed many fewer folks and brought a swift end to the war Sad, but it all is

The civilization with the largest army as always made policy in the past. Why should things be so different today? Should someone have told the Romans to stop making swords, and would they have bothered to listen? Besides, the US gave plenty of warning (Japan refused to surrender) before the use of the bomb and has not threatened nations with obliteration like Iran has.

I don't think the United States is asking permission to have nuclear weapons and I don't think the world's efforts at non-proliferation have anything to do with fairness either. It has to do with trying to keep the world from destroying itself. Would you sleep better each night knowing that Iran has nuclear weapons and a means of delivery? That would be fair since Israel clearly has nuclear weapons. Would you like the US to transfer it's nuclear weapons technology to North Korea? That would be fair particularly since South Korea is protected by US nuclear weapons. Would you or your love ones be better off in a fairer world?

The US doesn't have nukes because we intend to use them. We have nukes to deter other nuclear powers from using theirs. It's called mutually assured destruction and was the entire basis for the cold war with the soviet union. The problem that arises now is the we have a government in Iran that believes it's their religious duty to usher in the end of the world, the apocalypse, destruction of the planet by nuclear fire. That is why it is so important that they do not obtain nuclear weapons. There is no "deterrent" for someone who believes it's their duty to die for allah and believes that in doing so they will enjoy paradise forever at the side of god.

The Hiroshima bombing stopped a horrible war against a country that simply attacked us for no reason whatsoever. Notice the outcome? Japan is a thriving nation, although America won. We had no intention to invade or control them, which is one of the reasons that people trust America. We have never used one since, and we can not trust that a country like Iran would do the world the same justice.

Why should the U.S be trusted full stop, ask Chile, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Cuba, Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq & Iran to name a few of the countries that the U.S has openly attacked. The U.S did not tell the Japanese where and when they were going to drop the H bombs. To state the U.S was justified in dropping the H.bomb on innocent civilians is sick. That just what cowards you are.

When did the Russians get the bomb? '49? Why didn't we mass produce nukes and take over the world? We had a 4 year window. If you want to argue over our imperialism, that's one thing. But our desire to rule/destroy the world is negated by 4 years of zero detonations (in a combat setting).

"Shouldn't other countries be skeptical about the fact that we have nuclear weapons as opposed to the other way around?" yes. and we certainly are skeptical. trouble is america had them first, and as such has bigger and better nukes now, and more of them, and they seem to think they have the God given right and authority to rule the world and tell everyone else what they're allowed, or not allowed to have. They dont, and the american empire WILL crumble, as has every other great nation in their time, the greeks, the romans, the french, the prussians, the british empire. all gone. the same WILL happen with the US. its a great big never ending cycle.
