Citizens ID card?

Do naturalized citizens get an id card ?

  • Answer:

They can get driving licenses and passports just like native-born citizens. If a holder of a "green card" (they are actually blue) becomes a citizen, then the green card is no longer accurate, and is not valid as ID.

My mother was a naturalized citizen, and other than a " green card " I really don't remember her having another form of id. There's probably nothing stopping a person from getting an id card at their local DMV provided they can prove citizenship.
