Hotels in Downtown Philadelphia- Any Recommendations?

  • I am looking for a good hotel in the downtown area of Philly for my Labor Day Weekend Trip! Something that is close to the historical sites as well as not a far walk from good bars. Anyone know of any good hotels? Anyone have any good or bad experiences at any specific hotel?

    Love the Sofitel on 17th & Sansom - the decor is excellent and the staff are very nice Also very good: Loews Hotel - 12th & Market Omni Hotel - 4th & Chestnut Mariott Courtyard Inn has an excellent view of the Ben Franklin Parkway All are very close to bars... the Omni is located near alot of night life area ... there are a ton of bars/clubs on Chesnut street down in that area ... and its close to South Street

I have stayed at the Radisson Warwick Hotel on Locust Street, near Rittenhouse Square a couple times. The prices are reasonable and it's within walking distance of bars, restaurants, tourist sites, pretty much everything. Plus, there's a 24-hour diner across the street, which is perfect after a late night of drinking and partying.
