Do you need theme park tickets for downtown disney?

Is it cheaper to buy Disney or other Orlando Theme Park tickets in the US or the UK?

We are visiting Orlando in September of this year and need to get theme park/attraction tickets for; Disney Orlando Flex Ticket (Universal, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens) Kennedy Space Centre Is it better to get your tickets in the UK, does it work out cheaper? Does anyone know any reputable companies in the UK that we can get our tickets from? Thanks : )

My friends from the UK always say that they get better deals by purchasing the tickets before they travel to the US. Also, Disney offers a 14 day ticket for residents of the UK that is not available to residents of the US.
