There are quite a few hotels that are in the Downtown Disney area. I cannot think of them off the top of my head, but you may be able to pull up a map to view them. My uncle is the General Manager of Downtown Disney atm so I've been to that area quite a few times. I can, off the top of my head, remember 3 hotels in that area unless some have shut down. I couldnt image any of them being any more than a 5 minute walk. The downside to downtown disney is that you can get one, maybe two solid days there. Disney Quest can be fun if you're a bit younger, but if you're older than 15 you may find yourself riding the virtual rollercoaster over and over again lol. Also, if you can, go see the cirque du soleil show.

Saratoga Springs is in walking distance. Sort of. Half of the resort is close to Downtown Disney, but it is a big hotel. They have a motor launch that runs back and forth also. The resort is top of the line and has 2 great restaraunts.

This is not a disney resort. there are no hotels in downtown disney. there are non disney hotels on International drive, that are close enough to walk to downtown disney. You should be able to find a map to see where the hotel is compared to the gates at downtown disney- or call up the hotel and ask how long of a walk it is to downtown disney.

the hotels i would reccomend would be the Regal Sun or the Buena Vista Palace. besides the hilton, those are the two closest hotels to Downtown Disney. I'm not exactly sure about Royal Plaza as far as niceness goes, but it's about a 15 minute walk from Downtown Disney...at least. It's one of the farther hotels from Downtown Disney, but it wouldn't be impossible to walk there.
