What to do in Philly for a day?

I am taking a bus from Philly to New York on Saturday of Memorial Day, what time is my best bet to depart ?

Also, I am taking a bus back from New York to Philly Monday, any time suggestions? I know I'll hit traffic no matter what time. But what's my best bet...

Since Monday is a holiday, you won't have to worry about the insane amount of people and traffic. But I find that the best time to ride on Bolt Bus or Mega Bus is between 8 & 10am. The buses are never crowded, usually almost bare. And you can enjoy the ride in peace and quiet. But since it is a holiday, I think you will be fine with any time you choose. You will not have commuters, just people who want to go into NYC. Another plus is that many of the Broadway shows .. actually most of them do not show on Monday and those that do, aren't having performances that day.
