Where can I find upholstery classes in LA?

Where in LA can I find free or inexpensive classes?

  • Hey guys, I'm looking for a place that offers free or inexpensive classes, such as music, arts, theater (acting), voice, languages, or any other kind of cool classes! If you have any ideas, please help me and let me know! Thanks!

  • Answer:

Ask in the office at your school if they have any ideas for you, usually they will get flyers and info on the type of things you're looking for, there is actually a lot out there. They should also know of very good programs that aren't widely advertised and hard to find on your own, like the Spotlight Program at the Music Center (apply by 10/21), and the Cal Arts Programs. Spotlight http://www.musiccenter.org/education/spot_applynow.html Cal Arts Programs http://calarts.edu/cap/programs Call for info on current dates. Community colleges have non-credit classes for the community, look on the website of the CC closest to you, sometimes they're called community extension classes, and on that website, look for Youth College or something similar. These classes are often very inexpensive and very good, many have arts programs. In some communities there are after school programs, either at the schools or at community centers. Look not only in your community, but if you live close to another city, check out what they have to offer and if there are resident requirements. A lot of times those type of courses are offered by the city you live in. Check on your city website for classes offered at recreation centers. They're usually part of the parks and recreation department.
