What is the going rate for an overnight house sitter?

I was wondering if anyone knew the going rate for house sitter in Holland, MI?

In Holland with all the rich folk, I'd charge them a lot. Dutch people can be cheap. If it's on the lake charge them 3 hundred a week. Otherwise consider whose asking.

Are you working? If not, don't give your labor away. Maybe minimum wage per week at a eight hour a day. You could also check with a security company and ask them there going rate is to watch a vacant house. Did a quick seach at craigslist.com in some Michigan communities under "housing" for this and it seems people do it for nothing, but if your working and need temporary housing it may be a fair trade off compared to paying rent.
