Answer:
James - have you ever run a marathon? It's 26 miles. Even the best of the best runners take about 2 -3 hours to run a marathon. Your girlfriend may not think so, but she is going to be tired and sore. After running, if she has to sit ( 3 hours in a car from Chicago to Green Bay) for a long period of time, she will also be stiff. Then she will have to sit through a football game. Your girlfriend may think she's Superwoman, but that doesn't sound like a good idea at all.

Not if I wanted to live. Running 26 miles, then hitting a football game (and I'm pretty sure you're going to want to have a "beverage" or two before and during the game)?... not a good idea. Even if you don't drink, after running a marathon your body needs to rest, and attending a high energy football game and then driving all the way back to Green Bay doesn't seem smart. Why not find a cheap hotel or motel room in the city, rest after the marathon, attend the game and then stay overnight?

The soreness doesn't sit in until the next day...just make sure to pull over alot so she can stetch often during the drive up. Get a hotel room up there for after the game so she can rest. If she get up there and doesn't feel like going to the game, you could always go and she could go to the hotel room and take a hot bath and lay down. If I were young I would do it.

208 miles and about 3 hrs 34 min. from Grant Park to Lambeau Field: http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?do=nw&go=1&r=f&aoh=&aot=&aof=&1a=25%20N%20Michigan%20Ave&1c=Chicago&1s=IL&1z=60602&1y=US&1l=gjfd4wzUByvWI%2f3dLvMw4g%3d%3d&1g=xHN1fmOmdaFIPxdQeo8GQw%3d%3d&1pn=Grant%20Park%20North%20Parking%20Grge&1pl=312%2d742%2d7530&1v=ADDRESS&1ffi=1&1n=&1qn=grant%20park&2a=&2c=Green%20Bay&2s=WI&2z=&2y=US&2l=YxfiN0%2fP3o82Xdg9wknLWg%3d%3d&2g=SnsEWnxB0F4ENv%2bFrhqeFQ%3d%3d&2pl=&2v=CITY&2ffi=&2n=Brown%20County&2qn=lambough%20field&panelbtn=2&1qc=Parking%20Garages&q=grant%20park&2pn=lambough%20field&2sb=Lambeau%20Field%7c1265%20Lombardi%20Ave%7cGreen%20Bay%7cWI%7c54304%7c44503089%7c%2d88061065%7c920%2d569%2d5700%7cUS&2qc=Stadiums%20Arenas%20%26%20Athletic%20Fields Of course you will have a lot of traffic at both ends, especially near parking lots. I would plan on 4 1/2 hrs to 5 hrs max. She might have another marathon to the football game from the parked car. Check out the Packer site below for parking info: http://www.packers.com/gameday/parking/

Forget about it. She's gonna be tired like never before. She must stay home and rest otherwise she could get sick because the immune system is very weak after such an effort. Besides, she won't even enjoy the game. She'll be yearning for her bed! By the way I'll be running the Chicago Marathon too this year!
