Can you tube the broad river?

Is their/ Can you tube on the flint river in georgia?

• I will be traveling to georgia soon, and I would like to go water tubing, but all the places were north of atlanta, which is too far for us to drive. I was wondering if anyone knows a water tubing company that tubes along the flint river. If you could please give me websites/ and phone numbers for the tubing companies. Thanks in advance.

  Nothing stopping your from tubing. I lived in that area 45 years and I never heard of a company that offered tubing trips. Personally, I would not get in the Flint River. Since you will be in Southwest Georgia, just go a little further south to Wakulla Springs, FL or other state parks near Tallahassee, FL. Some of these parks have great water fun. It is not much further to Mexico Beach or Panama City Beach. Valdosta, GA has a fun park called Wild Adventures. They have water adventures as well. Unfortunate, there are not many water fun places in SW, GA unless you want to fish or boat such as Reed Bingham or Lake Seminole. Growing up in the country and small towns, we were not afraid to swim in ponds, lakes, and streams. Never did I or anyone else I know want to swim in the Flint River. It is a big river, but it is not clear and is rather dangerous (snakes and things).
