Where is better to study in Spain?

Where should I study in Spain?

  • I am an International Business and Global Economics major, minoring in Spanish and German and I would like to go to Spain next year to continue my study of Spanish. My school offers abroad programs to Barcelona and Madrid -- I don't know which would be more beneficial. I have heard good things about the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros in Madrid.. Is it a good school? Thanks!!

  • Answer:

I'd be careful with Bacelona; a friend of mine learned Spanish, went on exchange to Spain, ended up in Santiago, and most courses there were in Galician. Of course it is ludicrous to include such places in exchange programmes and it is impertinent and inconsiderate of them to not do all courses in Spanish. However, that's the way it is, and it might well be that you run a similar risk with Barcelona and Catalan. So make sure you have all the information about their courses so that you can make an informed decision.
