Whats the best way ( and low cost) to ship lot of books from Singapore to India ?
-
I need to ship lots of books ( weight around 100 kg) to India from Singapore. Whats the cheap and best way to ship books by courier / sea-cargo ? thanks in advance! VETRI

Answer:
There is a special rate for books that are sent via surface mail. Its costs about $208 for 100 kilos. The advantage is there are no additional charges. If you ship any other means you have to pay all sorts of import and export charges. Not just freight and fuel surcharges. But before you try this look for firms that specialize in shipping from Singapore to India as there is a long history of people from India working in Singapore.
